A NEW SCHOOL BUILDING
“I saw God’s hands reaching down, picking up children who were sitting in the dusty streets and lifting them up onto the rooftop of a Palace.” God has heard the prayers of his saints, He looked down and saw His illiterate, poverty stricken people and heard their cries. He worked in the hearts of many people who came alongside of them, He provided the means to buy a school for them, and He has taken them from the dust into a place of Hope!
The new school year has started and it is so exciting because the students have moved into their new school building! International Schools of Hope Foundation has purchased a building which seems Iike a palace to the children. The building was previously owned by a family who had 5 sons. The Pakistan culture is extended living, so when a son marries, his bride comes to live with his family and, if possible, they are given their own room to live in. This man decided to do something a little different and sell his large house and buy each of his sons their own home. The timing was perfect and the papers were signed in July. This home will make a great school! There are 9 bedrooms, which will be used as classrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 small kitchen areas. There is also an inside court yard that will be used for assemblies and a rooftop that the children can play on during recess.
MORNING ASSEMBLY
One hundred and forty-four students began the 2017 school year. Almost every day another parent comes asking for admission of their children. There are currently one hundred eighty children in the school being taught by five teachers. Three thousand illiterate children live in the colony so we expect the enrollment will continue to rise on a daily basis!

School is held 6 days a week and their day begins at 8:00am when the children gather in the inner courtyard for the morning assembly. They have a time of prayer, singing Christian songs, and reciting Bible verses. They are also learning the books of the Bible. The assembly ends with prayer and singing their National Anthem. From there they go to their individual classrooms for their studies. Their school day ends at 12:30.
SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT

We are so thankful to those of you who are coming alongside the children’s education! This monthly support is what will keep the school going. 100% of your contribution goes directly to the student’s tuition and it is all-inclusive! All of their supplies, books, staff payroll, and utilities are covered by this amount!
As student enrollment increases, the opportunity to come alongside of the students with tuition support also increases! The cost to educate a child is $2 US per month for the lower grades and $5 per month for the upper grades.
UPCOMING PLANS FOR THE NEW SCHOOL
Pastor Nazir would like to have a library for the students. We have picked up several lightweight reading books and storybooks at the Salvation Army that are in good condition. If anyone would like to contribute to the library, we would be happy to take the books along with us to Pakistan. Pastor Nazir said there is also a need for sweaters, jackets, hats and mittens for the children. If you would like to donate any of these items we would also be happy to take them with us when we go in October. They do not have to be new but should be in good condition. We are very grateful for anything you might be able to provide!

We give praise to God for those of you who are supporting the children’s education!! If God lays it on your heart to support these students you can go to one of the websites below (IFCA has a small processing fee).
